Bumbu Restaurant (Singapore)

Another ala carte buffet recommended by Buffet Buffet. It cost $16.80++ for wkday dinner or wkend lunch. located conveniently at China Square.

See below for menu.

The deco of the restaurant uses alot of old stuff, like marriage cert, weighing scale.....

It serves, Indonesian, Thai, Peranakan food.
My Fav Thai or also a chinese dish, Chilli Basil Chicken. Alway goes well with rice.. Also the green curry is spicy and creamy

Peranankan Food like Tahu Telor and Gado Gado is authentic. The Tahu used is those egg tahu fried first before spreading the sauce and egg on it. Cripsy on the outside and soft inside. Gado Gado is more like eating satay bee hoon... nice!!

Black Pepper Beef which is more to chinese style & the sambal kangkang.

The ala carte buffet is worth to go for it but for ala carte menu, its expensive. :)

Soup Restaurant (Singapore)

At the Soup Restaurant, the Unique Chinatown Heritage Cuisine has been preserved for your palate. Special dishes like Samsui Ginger Chicken, other steamed dishes and herbal soups are prepared in the traditional way. The tradition deco of each branch will let patron feel the olden days where our ancestors really work hard for their daily food.

A traditional Samsui dish consumed by the Samsui women in Chinatown. Due to their low income, the Samsui Ginger Chicken was only consumed once a year, during the Chinese New Year. Chicken was steamed without much seasoning after which, dipped in ginger sauce before consumption. The ginger sauce is a fragrant and tasty compliment to the chicken. Ginger and sesame oil, as believed by the Chinese, removes excess wind from the body. You may wrap the chicken in lettuce to achieve that crunch when you bite into the popular Samsu Ginger Chicken.
